While I have my various contradictory thoughts about tourism, making my film has made me realise that if you are going to be a tourist, perhaps being a carfree tourist is the way to go – it’s more sustainable, more spontaneous, more adventurous and it brings you closer to the locals.
So I’m going to help car-free tourists by laying down my local knowledge for places I’ve lived and explored car-free, giving you ideas of places to go and itinaries to fill your limited days without a car. I would love to expand this list, but I can’t live (or even visit) everywhere. So please help me with your local car-free tourism knowledge.
